I see art as an essential expression of self, environment, ideas, experiences, culture, and history. I make art for the sake of art, as well as socially, politically, agency-driven awareness pieces. I consider art as a medium to be an innovative, creative, and forgiving place for humanitarian expression. Photography is my creative venue of choice. I have a comprehensive photographic background covering all mediums as well as all around art and art history foundations. My educational experiences give me an informed background to tackle issues through art from an informed, open-minded, and critical perspective. 

I see my artistic career as a dynamic lifestyle, with my intuitive, observant, and connected with people/places photography as my niche in the world. I pursue artistic projects which allow for the combination of my worldly compassion with my photographic passion. Additionally, my artistic sensibilities and background help to create a connectivity between commercial photos and their viewers while maintaining my drive for creativity and love of art.

While my photographic passion lies heavily in artful depiction, I am also an educator. With an in-depth technical ability in shooting, lighting, studio, software, digital, film, darkroom and art history I have taught the above subject matter in universities, secondary and elementary schools, youth programs as well as through community and professional workshops.
